Camping Award

The Camping Award is about living outdoors, planning, preparing, choosing basic equipment you will carry, using them, camping crafts that make camping fun, comfortable and memorable, cooking and preparing meals -- all done in the wild.

The Camping Award is one of BB's oldest Awards, started in the 1890's when Lord Baden Powell was an Officer of the Boys' Brigade. (Sir WAS was also with the Boy Scouts for a time, but our Founder decided to focus on the BB after putting some thought into it.)

We the BB owe it to Sir WAS and Lord Baden Powell, to maintain the tradition started more than one and a quarter centuries ago.
